How To Make Sure Your Customers Know Where To Find You

If your income depends on your sales, don’t forget these easy ways to connect with all your customers before the day of the show:

  1. Share the show’s Facebook event with friends in the local area.
    1. click on the events listing
    2. click on ‘share’
    3. choose Raleigh (or wherever the event is taking place)
    4. share it with any friends who are in that area
  2. Instagram the show graphic 1x a day in the week before the show.
    1. on your phone, go to the show’s Instagram feed
    2. take a screen capture or save the image
    3. re-gram it on your feed, tagging the event!
  3. Email your customer list! this is easy and so valuable. Use a free service like Mail Chimp or a paid service, but send out a short note to your customers linking to the event website and telling them how to find you. Tell them about any new designs or items. Offer a coupon or special if you want, but definitely tell your customers where you will be. If you do multiple events, make sure to list all the upcoming events in each email.
  4. Video yourself prepping for the show and share the video on Facebook or Instagram. Video has much higher engagement than just still images, and if you are comfortable talking about your work, all the better. If you don’t like the sound of your voice, just add some words in the description box.
  5. Ask friends or customers to share the show info with their friends. Posts reminding friends that this season is important to you, business-wise, are valuable if you don’t overdo it. This is a once- or twice-a-season thing, not daily.
  6. Distribute show postcards/posters if you can. If the show you are doing offers vendors any handouts, put them in all your orders before the day-of-show. Hang a poster at your favorite coffeeshop or book store. Put a card on a neighbor’s car.
